Requirements for Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPS)
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has recently published new standards for MEWPS (formerly known as Aerial Lifts). If you have previously completed the UBC Aerial Lift Operator training you are now required to take a 2 hour supplemental class to update this qualification. This requirement will go into effect March 1, 2020. If you have not completed the UBC Aerial Lift Operator training you must take the 8 hour course. This will give you the most current information regarding the new standards
Due to this new regulation, the Aerial Lift class will now be referred to as MEWPS Course and MEWPS Update Course
